Symposium 20: Invasive ants
This symposium covers a broad range of topics associated with a variety of invasive ants, including ecology, distribution, population genetics and environmental and economic impacts. Symbionts and biocontrol are subjects for several other presentations. Invasive ants discussed include those in the following genera: Solenopsis, Linepithema, Wasmannia, Monomorium, Anoplolepis, and Lasius. Overall the symposium will be a great opportunity to meet colleagues and to learn about some of the best research being done with a diversity of invasive ants around the world.
